One tool that I like a lot (no for software development is Visual Studio Code (no matter the programming language). Recently, I discovered that it supports a portable mode (you can run the application without the need to install it). You can achieve this in a very easy way:
- Download the.zip / .tar.gz version of the app.
- Create a data folder for the app data (extensions, preferences)
- And you are done! You just need to execute it.
